I've become bad at getting myself to fix my soba now because I'm so set on it being warm enough that I don't have to do it. It's slightly chilly today--and rainy--but I've been wandering around outside in my flip flops. Grandma keeps telling me I'm going to get a cold because I don't have socks on. I told her and mom that I wouldn't and they're like "Bravo!" They think I must be saying I have an amazing immune system.

This past week I was on break from school. I spent a bit of time sick with a cold--in Chisinau--and the other parts at Terri and Suzanne's houses. Terri came back with me to Pepeni which was really cool. While at her house she fixed a huge Mexican meal. We had tacos with beef, chicken, guacamole, shredded cheese, and she made refried beans and salsa. It was awesome. Her family seemed to like it. It was fun showing them everything. They kept mixing up the words taco and hotdog. You can buy hotdogs(-ish) in Moldova, but tacos don't exist.
While sick in Chisinau, I saw the movie Slumdog Millionaire... bootleg copies of many movies float around the volunteer pool. I love it. The movie is incredible!!.. I also saw Twilight which was okay.
Moldova is getting ready for their next election. I've been handed many fliers for the liberal democrats, communist party, green party... My partner, Efimia, at the hospital tried to give me a communist party poster. "Isn't the girl on this poster frumoasa??" (beautiful.) She told me that the communist party was bad, but that I could just cut off their name from the bottom of the poster, and then I would have a nice poster of a beautiful young Moldovan girl wearing a "vote" t-shirt. I really love working with Emfimia. She's learned so much on the computer. She asked me: "How are we doing?? Haven't we improved? We're doing a good job, right?"--She was speaking I think in general about her work. I think she's really proud of herself learning how to use the computer. It's awesome to see someone so proud of something they've learned. She's a lot older than me, but we can all learn from each other.

Cherry season starts end of May. I'm going to start classifying my experiences based on the fruit in season. Cherry season is going to be amazing. I will have GLOW (hopefully still in June, unless camp dates change) and the Peace Corps office has cherry trees inside its front gates. Some friends and I are going to have a cherry party + picnic when they're ripe to pick.
