I've been selected to work as a co-director for a young women's summer camp, GLOW, next year!!! I am SO excited! The camp was founded by female PC volunteers and had two open director positions for summer 2009. I'm really honored that I was selected because many of my friends applied and everyone was very qualified for the job.
I looked at my calendar earlier today and realized I had missed the deadline for the other camp, "TARE" (there are 2 women's summer camps run by PC volunteers) and was kind of wondering what I would be doing next summer if I wasn't selected for GLOW, so this is a nice surprise. I will spend most of the summer in my village--maybe doing a day camp for sports, leadership, or something + working at the med center--but this will be a week or two away from Pepeni where I will get to meet a lot of people, participate in a lot of planning and teaching and learn many things. It would be great if I could enroll my host sister, Alina, to go to the GLOW camp.
