I really don't have anything interesting to say, but the fact that I have internet this weekend is too fabulous to waste.
I've been trying to wait as long as possible to go back to my village this evening. The bus system gives me anxiety so I should try to leave before 4pm. When I ask what times the bus will leave or come I'm told: "Umm... don't know today." I love efficiency... but the mystery is kind of exciting as well. It would be more exciting if PC didn't have the new volunteers on "lock down" where I'm supposed to be sleeping in my village every night until November something-ish. Because if I miss the Rutiera (the 15 passenger white minivans that pack 50 people) I can't exactly walk home.
Tomorrow I have to write plans for my week's lessons. Viorica and I somehow got behind which hopefully won't happen again. This month has been busy for her as well--though "busy" in Moldova meaning a few less coffee breaks per day--she's been giving health checkups to all of our students.
Anyway, quick thanks to those of you who send me text updates of world news. ALWAYS appreciated. I hear about the conflict between Russia and Georgia... but most other news I don't hear much about. I've been hearing about the financial problems going on at home, but don't understand a lot of what happened. I have a couple of Newsweeks from PC so hopefully I can catch up on some reading later: articles about McCain's VP pick, etc.
